District 118 Policy re: Use of Food at Classroom Parties:

All classroom parties are food-free. Food may not be consumed in the classroom, used in a craft, or in a treat bag that is sent home. With the growing number of food allergies in existence, having food-free classroom parties ensures the safety of students and staff impacted by these allergies. There are numerous online resources for games and crafts that do not require food. If you need help locating these resources, please email room parent chair, Melissa Hayward, at melissah625@gmail.com.
